I’m Nikka.
My pronouns are she/her/hers. I’m based in Brooklyn (lands of the Munsee Lenape and Canarsie people).
It’s a website where I know I’m supposed to pretend I am Very Cool And Fancy All The Time, but why lie? I am a very big nerd about a lot of things, and I really like being in The Play. Not just plays. (I do mostly musicals, honestly.)
The Royal Play. The metaphorical Play.
You know what I mean.
Read on.
Some of the things I am a very big nerd about and like making and working on:
The labor movement, podcasts, teaching yoga, organizing small spaces, and design.
I’m also a mental health advocate, spouse, cat lady, lover of word games, and a bunch of other things you can read about here.
Thank you for your understanding.
With smiling in it, even!
Have fun. Say hi.
Holler if you see any typos.

“She ain’t down yet! Brought to you by the Transport Group’s award-winning production in conjunction with Music Theatre International, this studio recording of The Unsinkable Molly Brown…features Meredith Willson's original score and lyrics plus unknown gems from Willson’s trunk, with a new book and added lyrics by Dick Scanlan, and liner notes by Luis Miranda.
The Unsinkable Molly Brown is produced by Michael Croiter, Michael Rafter, and Dick Scanlan.”
What does mental health look like in one of the most cutthroat industries in the world? Can a late-in-life ADHD diagnosis ever be a good thing? And must the show always go on? Nikka talks with host Danny LoPriore about mental stamina, why certain mental health conditions go underdiagnosed in women, and the “epiphany” of her ADHD diagnosis.
I'm now available on BroadwayPlus for meet-and-greets, shout-outs, audition coaching, and acting and dance lessons!
Playing several roles in the podcast City of Ghosts: A supernatural, neo-noir fiction podcast about power, corruption, and ghosts.
